Heceta Head Lightstation is celebrating its 128th birthday March 30, 4-7pm. The community is invited to celebrate at the light station which has a scenic walking trail that leads from the beach to The Keeper’s House, Gift Shop and lighthouse tower. This family-friendly free event takes place at the Heceta Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast in the Keeper’s Home. Taylor’s Sausage will be grilling up free hot dogs while live musicians play! Local agency representatives are present to talk about the outstanding natural features of the area as well as volunteers from the Heceta Lighthouse Interpretive Center at the Keeper’s House and Oregon State Parks volunteers at the lighthouse tower. The park is located off of Hwy 101 just 13 miles north of Florence. Parking is available at the Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic View Point and parking is $5 per vehicle. This event also kicks off Keeper’s of Heceta Heceta Head Lightstation, a 501c3, summer raffle.
