Process Paint & Sip

Have fun, relax, play with paint and learn new creative skills at SASS’s Process Paint and Sip Night! 6-8pm every 1st Friday of the month.

“Process  painting”, sometimes known as Intuitive Painting, is a style of expressive art that focuses on the experience of using color, form, composition, and the properties of  paint and mixed media to build layers on a surface. Art pieces are built using a connection to one’s sensory experience, using a few basic principles and spontaneous expression.

Focusing on process,  rather than the finished piece, frees us up to play, explore and  experiment, without being afraid of “getting it wrong” or comparing  ourselves to others. Many folks also find this method of painting helps them feel more comfortable and relaxed in the present moment, energized and delighted!

During the evening, we will:

~ Gather  for social time & enjoy your choice of beverages, featuring curated  local and regional brands (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will  be available.)

~ Take time to learn about how process- focused painting works, and do some basic warm-up exercises,

~ Enjoy music and free painting time, with guidance from an experienced fine artist,

~ Share  our pieces if desired, talk about our creative experiences, what we  learned, and what we appreciate about one another’s work.

$35 per person includes hosted bar and all materials needed. Please remember to bring your ID card!
