Rhody Run

Dust off your running shoes and get ready for a “Rip Roarin’ ” good time! Rhody Run is a USATF certified 5k / 10k course and continues to be a Florence Rhododendron Festival tradition since 1979. This race is enjoyed by runners and walkers of all ages.  You can also participate by volunteering to help race officials or line the streets to cheer on every runner and walker.

This year a Team Competition will be added to this event. Team scores will be tallied, and awards presented to the top three (3) teams.  Teams must be registered prior to the event. Team participation does not affect your individual participation.

Rhody Run has also partnered with Siuslaw and Mapleton School Districts to collect athletic shoes.  All new or gently used athletic shoes will be accepted to help local youth in need. Visit florencehabitat.org for drop off locations.

The Run/Walk pre-registration fee is $25 per person for ages 18 and older, $20 for ages 13-17 and $15 for ages 12 and younger. A $5 additional fee is charged for race day registration. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. and an awards ceremony is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. Medals will be awarded for the top three in each of five age groups for both male and female entrants. And to the top three (3) teams. Rhody Run T-shirts will be available for $20.
