This is an 8 week Beginning Ceramics Class that will introduce the basic elements of sculptural and functional clay within the tradition of making pottery. Techniques taught will include pinching, coil building, slab construction and the use of a wheel. Basics in tool use, glazing and firing will be included.
Students should already the know basics of working with clay from beginning use of wet clay, through the various stages to completed, fired pieces.
